One of Democrats' first orders of business in 2019 is to introduce a bill to strengthen our democracy by expanding voting rights in a few key ways, including:
- Restoring the Voting Rights Act, which was weakened by the Supreme Court in 2013;
- Establishing automatic voter registration, making it easier for every single eligible American to vote;
- Take away partisan state legislatures’ ability to gerrymander, and give redistricting power to independent commissions.
